Simon is a manager at Curate where he represents Canadian, American and international filmmakers and department heads. He is drawn to creators that do not fit within pre-established boxes and projects that, no matter the genre, have heart.
Born and raised in Québec, Canada, Simon started his career in corporate law in Toronto before moving into IP and entertainment law where he worked at Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté’s newest company, Lune Rouge. He then consulted on Just For Laughs original productions before pivoting to representation, working as an agent at a Montreal-based agency.
He has a passion for languages, which he has never stopped cultivating by learning new ones: Simon is fluent in French, Spanish and Italian and has a functional grasp of Turkish. He continues to be involved in his home industry in Montréal, and sits on the board of the Plein(s) Écran(s) film festival.
Simon unsurprisingly spends a lot of his free time watching movies while his husband and dog sleep next to him on the couch.
